Feeling Better

Today Megan had tubes put in her ears-again. The last time she had tubes put in was when she was three....she has terrible ear problems (has since the day she was born, ear infections @ her 2 week appt). But now the ear problem is affecting her hearing and already created a hearing loss...so we were at the hospital at 5AM (which means we had to leave just after 4AM to get there) So far so good....She has a high threshold of pain AND very little fear which makes for a good patient. It's amazing how an endless supply of popsicles make the world a much better place!!

Megan

This is our Megan....She is full of life and energy...we call her our little early bird b/c just before the sun rises she springs out of bed ready to fill her day with a long list of fun. She enjoys making new friends and is not scared to get out in front of people. Her favorites inclurde: tinkerbelle green & yellow, spaghetti, mickey mouse pancakes, chinese food, stcking cards, she's a whiz at scrabble, anything Barbie. You can often find her with a sketch pad drawing and coloring,as well as writing cute stories. She longs for the day her mom and dad will let her have a cell phone or ipod. She has a pet rabbit named Furball that loves her b/c she takes such good care of him. She dreams of being an animal doctor in Hawaii. She takes ballet and cheerleading. Megan can't wait until her special day when she gets baptized this fall.

Jacob

This is Jacob...he loves: his dad, going to work with his dad, golfing, swimming, bowling, Spiderman, and Transformers, bike rides, anything chocolate, making paper airplanes with his friend Logan, chicken & stuffing, steak, stuffed crust pizza, and jerky (much to his mother's dismay) !! He is an infomercial-junky and would by anythinghe saw, b/c it is absolutly amazing!! His favorite informercial- vaccuum bag storage bags, foot softener (b/c of me he said) and any amazing cleaners. He is a boy in every sense of the word, yet has a tender spot for his little sister CHLOE. He is also a trickster just like his dad. We feel very blessed to have Jacob- he brings much excitement to our hum drum days.

Almost Perfect

We just got back from a quick trip to the Texas Cost-S.Padre Island to be exact.....I spent several days before the trip making lists...doing laundry...making piles...buying snacks/misc...organizing-organizing-organizing.....rembered all the important-obvious important things...we get ther...unload, whip out the camera, and sure enough- I forgot the charger for the camera's battery (the battery which is nearly impossible to fo find to replace!!! Although our trip was ALMOST perfect..we had a blast!! Playing in the ocean..we went to Schlitterbaun water park looked out for dolphins-even staying in a hotel. On the way home, Megan had just realized we hadn't taken a single picture(very un-mom like) and Jared was quick to throw in how it was Chloe's 1st trip to the beach!
